 Bratwurst 

A well-known Oktoberfest sausage, grilled. Bratwurst is made with beef and pork, it is spicier than Knackwurst.

 

Knackwurst

Knackwurst is an all beef boiled sausage, thick and seasoned with garlic and pepper. Also named Regensburger, it is very similar to an American Hot Dog but is much larger.

 

Weisswurst 

 (pronounced Vice Wurst)

Weisswurst is a boiled white sausage made from veal, bacon, and parsley.

Schnitzel - a breaded cutlet dish made with boneless meat thinned with a hammer, coated in breadcrumbs and fried. It is made from veal, chicken, beef, or pork.

German Potato Salad - Also called "Kartoffelsalat" is a popular variation of the US counterpart. It is generally prepared with vinegar and oil, rather than mayonaise, and bacon bits served warm.

Sauerkraut - The most popular German food. It is made from pickled cabbage.

Red Cabbage - Also referred to as "Blaukraut" is a tart alternative to sauerkraut.
